Acting President receives the letters of credence from the Ambassador of India


Vilnius, May 25th. Acting President of the Republic of Lithuania Arturas Paulauskas received today the letters of credence from the Ambassador Anil Wadhwa of the Republic of India to Lithuania.

At the ceremony, the Acting President underlined that Lithuania is interested to step up the bilateral political, economic and trade relations with India.

“It is gratifying to see an accelerating growth of co-operation between Lithuania and India. We develop a political dialogue, our trade turnover is increasing, co-operation of scientists and academic exchange is growing, close cultural co-operation and new tourism destinations are being developed,” Arturas Paulauskas said in his speech.

“India is an authority within the international community and its support is of great importance to us.

“I am convinced that the engagement of Lithuania, as a member of the European Union, in the dialogue between Europe and Asia will enrich and enhance our relations,” the Acting President said.
